Interactive Session on Meditation in Everyday Life

As part of its Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) initiative, DMRC Academy organised an interactive session on "Conversation on Meditation in Everyday Life – A Scientific Approach" on 1 August 2026. The session was delivered by Sh. Vijender Singh, IRSE, Executive Director, IRCON International Ltd., and was attended by trainees as well as faculty members of the Academy. The session highlighted the scientific principles and practical application of meditation for enhancing mental well-being, emotional resilience, concentration and overall effectiveness. Participants also experienced a guided meditation and breathing exercise, making the programme highly interactive, enriching and well appreciated by all participants.

Learning Visits under the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Initiative

As part of its Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) initiative, DMRC Academy organised learning visits for six reshuffling batches of Operations Department trainees transitioning from Station Operations to Train Operations and vice versa during June and July 2026. Four batches visited the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, New Delhi while two batches visited the National Science Centre, New Delhi. The visits provided opportunity to gain valuable insights into India's governance, scientific achievements, innovation and cultural heritage, enriching classroom learning and promoting holistic professional development.

Visit of Officials from the Gates Foundation and CEGIS

DMRC Academy welcomed Dr. Santhosh Mathew; Country Lead – Social & Public Finance Policy; Gates Foundation, Mr. Ravi Teja Buddhiraju; Gates Foundation and Mr. Shubnit Mehra; Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS), on 30 July 2026. The delegation was briefed on the Academy's training ecosystem through a documentary showcasing its state-of-the-art training facilities, specialised laboratories, simulators and Centres of Excellence for capacity building in the urban rail sector. This was followed by an interactive discussion on training methodologies and capacity-building initiatives. The delegation appreciated the DMRC Academy's world-class infrastructure, innovative training practices and its commitment to developing skilled manpower for the metro rail industry.

Visit of Trainee Officers of Delhi Judicial Service

DMRC Academy welcomed Trainee Officers of the Delhi Judicial Service on 29 July 2026 for an interactive programme providing insights into the legal, operational and technical dimensions of Delhi Metro. The programme included an interaction with Gp. Capt. Sanjay V. Kute, General Manager (Legal), DMRC on the legal framework governing metro rail operations, followed by an interaction with Sh. Ghansham Bansal, Director General, DMRC Academy, who highlighted the Academy's role in training, capacity building and knowledge dissemination. The officers also visited the Academy's advanced training facilities to gain first-hand exposure to its state-of-the-art infrastructure and simulator-based training systems. The visit concluded with an interactive luncheon, providing an opportunity for further engagement with DMRC officials.

Visit of Ashtrom Delegation from Israel

A delegation from Ashtrom, Israel, led by Mr. Ilan Robert Sade, Vice President – Budgetary Control and Procurement, visited DMRC Academy on 27 July 2026. The delegation was briefed on the Academy's training ecosystem through a documentary showcasing its state-of-the-art training facilities, specialised laboratories, simulators and Centres of Excellence for capacity building in the urban rail sector. This was followed by an interactive discussion on training methodologies and capacity-building initiatives, and a guided tour of the Academy's advanced training facilities. The delegation appreciated the Academy's world-class infrastructure, innovative training practices and its commitment to developing skilled manpower for the metro rail industry.

Workshop on Repair, Rehabilitation & Retrofitting of Concrete Structures

DMRC Academy organised a One-Day Technical Workshop on “Repair, Rehabilitation & Retrofitting of Concrete Structures” on 24 July 2026. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Vikas kumar, Managing Director, DMRC and attended by Directors, Executive Directors, Heads of Departments and other senior officers of DMRC, along with participants from 35 external organisations, including RITES, NHAI, BMRCL, CPWD, NCRTC, Indian Railways and other leading infrastructure organisations. Expert speakers from CSIR-CBRI Roorkee, IIT Madras and industry, covered structural assessment, durability enhancement, advanced repair materials, corrosion mitigation and innovative retrofitting techniques. An exhibition by leading industry partners showcased state-of-the-art repair materials and technologies through live demonstrations. The workshop provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, professional networking and industry-academia collaboration in the field of infrastructure engineering.

Unveiling of Executive Readiness (Metro Railway) – Foundation Books

The Executive Readiness (Metro Railway) – Volume I & II books, developed by DMRC Academy, were formally unveiled by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC, on 24 July 2026 in the gracious presence of Director (Business Development), Director (Finance), Director (Project & Planning), Chief Vigilance Officer, Executive Director (Coordination Project Works), Executive Director (Corporate Coordination & Works), and Director General, DMRC Academy. Developed as foundational learning resources, the books provide a comprehensive understanding of metro railway systems and strengthen competencies in planning, construction, operations, maintenance, safety and allied disciplines. The books were unveiled during the Workshop on Repair, Rehabilitation & Retrofitting of Concrete Structures, reaffirming DMRC's commitment to knowledge creation, institutional learning and professional excellence.

‘JAGRUK’ Workshop on Disaster Preparedness

DMRC Academy organised the ‘JAGRUK’ (Joint Initiative for Awareness, Guidance and Response in Unforeseen Disasters and Knowledge Enhancement) workshop on 23 July 2026 to strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities. The one-day programme witnessed participation from 29 officials representing the Signalling, Telecom, Rolling Stock, Traction, E&M and Civil departments. The workshop covered Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), case studies, practical demonstrations and interactive discussions on emergency planning, incident response, fire safety and inter-departmental coordination. The programme received an encouraging response from the participants, reaffirming DMRC’s commitment to organisational preparedness and a strong safety culture.

Workshop on Right to Information (RTI) Act

DMRC Academy organised a Half-Day Workshop on the Right to Information (RTI) Act on 17 July 2026, with participation from 26 DMRC executives. The workshop was conducted by Gp. Capt. Sanjay V. Kute, General Manager (Legal), and Sh. S. S. Rathi, Senior Deputy General Manager (Legal) to enhance awareness of the provisions, objectives and effective implementation of the RTI Act. The interactive programme covered the roles and responsibilities of Public Information Officers, the importance of transparency and accountability in public administration, and practical aspects of RTI through case-based discussions.

Workshop on Advanced Ballastless Track Structures

DMRC Academy successfully organised a Workshop on Advanced Ballastless Track Structures on 3 July 2026, with participation from 46 professionals from DMRC as well as UPMRCL, NCRTC, Hyderabad Metro, and BMRCL. The programme was graced by Sh. Rajiv Dhankher, Director (Projects & Planning), DMRC, who delivered the keynote address, while Sh. Atul Kumar Kankane, Executive Director (Corporate Coordination & Works), DMRC, delivered the opening remarks emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and technological advancement. Expert-led technical sessions, complemented by live demonstrations from M/s Pandrol, M/s Getzner India Pvt. Ltd., and M/s Vossloh, provided valuable insights into advanced ballastless track technologies, maintenance practices and field applications. The workshop served as an effective platform for knowledge sharing, industry interaction and capacity building.

Visit of Tunnelling and Rock Engineering Expert

Dr. Manoj Verman, a renowned Tunnelling and Rock Engineering expert, visited DMRC Academy on 2 July 2026 and interacted with Sh. Ghansham Bansal, Director General, DMRC Academy. During the interaction, he shared his valuable experiences from the execution of Delhi Metro Phase-I, with special reference to the construction challenges and engineering aspects of Chawri Bazar Metro Station. Dr. Verman also experienced the Academy's RS-2 Driving Simulator and appreciated its advanced training infrastructure. In the Visitors' Diary, he wrote: "I am extremely impressed by what I saw, felt and experienced at the DMRC Academy. The facilities are excellent, but what impressed me the most is the dedication and passion of everybody, led by Mr. Ghansham Bansal, Director General." His visit provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge sharing and meaningful interaction, further reinforcing the Academy's commitment to delivering world-class training for metro professionals.

Webinar on Integrated Block Management

DMRC Academy successfully conducted a webinar on “Integrated Block Management” on 1 July 2026, providing a valuable platform for knowledge sharing on a critical aspect of safe, reliable and efficient metro operations. The session covered block planning and execution, Permit to Work (PTW) procedures, safety protocols and effective block monitoring practices. Through case studies and a demonstration of the Block Management Application (BMA), participants gained practical insights into enhancing operational safety, coordination and efficiency. The interactive discussions and real-world examples made the programme highly engaging and was well appreciated by the participants.

Workshop on Forest Issues in Metro Construction

DMRC Academy successfully organised a one-day technical workshop on “Forest Issues in Metro Construction: Rule Position, Precautions and Avoiding Delays” on 25 June 2026, with participation from 36 officers from across DMRC. The technical sessions were delivered by Sh. H. S. Sohal and Sh. A. K. Lal, both former Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officers, who shared their expertise on forest clearances, statutory provisions and practical challenges in metro project execution. The highly interactive workshop received excellent feedback from participants and significantly enhanced their understanding of forest and environmental issues related to metro infrastructure projects.

Workshop on Discipline & Appeal Rules

DMRC Academy conducted the 13th batch of the three-day Workshop on Discipline & Appeal Rules from 23 to 25 June 2026 for 19 nominated DMRC officers. The programme featured expert sessions delivered by DMRC officers, complemented by a guest faculty session, and received excellent feedback from the participants.

Visit of Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, RVNL

Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), visited DMRC Academy on 24 June 2026. During the visit, he was briefed on the Academy’s training ecosystem, advanced learning facilities, simulator-based training infrastructure, and capacity-building initiatives for the metro rail sector. He also interacted with Academy officials and appreciated its efforts in developing competent, future-ready professionals for urban transportation systems. Commending the Academy, he described it as “one of the excellent institutions of national importance with excellent facilities and faculty” and termed his visit “an excellent lifetime experience.”

Visit of General Manager, Kolkata Metro

Sh. P. S. Gupta, General Manager, Kolkata Metro, visited DMRC Academy on 22 June 2026. The visit commenced with the screening of the DMRC documentary, followed by a tour of the Academy’s state-of-the-art training facilities, including the Digital Studio, Civil Demo Room, ECS/TVS Room, Digital Library, Metro Signalling Model Room, Rolling Stock Simulators, ATS Simulator, RS-2 Driving Simulator, and Augmented & Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Lab. Impressed by the Academy’s advanced training infrastructure, Sh. Gupta remarked, “The Academy has state of the art facilities, perhaps nowhere in India to become world leader in Metro trainings.”

Introduction of Smart Navigation System

Managing Director, DMRC inaugurated the Academy’s QR code-based Indoor Navigation System on 21 June 2026 in the presence of Director (Operations & Services), Director (Finance) and Director General, DMRC Academy. The smart wayfinding solution enables visitors and trainees to easily navigate classrooms, laboratories and offices across the Academy by scanning strategically placed QR codes with their smartphones.

Inauguration of Digital Learning Studio

Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC, inaugurated the Digital Studio at DMRC Academy on 21 June 2026 in the gracious presence of Dr. Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Operations & Services), Sh. Ajit Sharma, Director (Finance), and Sh. Ghansham Bansal, Director General, DMRC Academy. Established in collaboration with Karmayogi Bharat, the Digital Studio marks a significant step towards strengthening technology-enabled learning and digital capacity building in the metro rail sector. During the inauguration, the Managing Director also recorded a video message highlighting the growing role of digital learning in enhancing workforce competencies. The Digital Studio will be utilised for developing e-learning modules, recording expert lectures, webinars, podcasts, virtual classroom sessions, and other knowledge-sharing programmes. The facility will enable DMRC Academy to create high-quality, engaging and scalable digital learning content, further supporting continuous learning and professional development of metro professionals.

Celebration of International Yoga Day 2026

DMRC Academy, Shastri Park, celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2026 with enthusiastic participation from around 250 officers, employees and trainees. The event was held in the gracious presence of Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director; Dr. Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Operations & Services); Sh. Ajit Sharma, Director (Finance); and Sh. Ghansham Bansal, Director General, DMRC Academy, and was aligned with the global theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” The programme featured the Common Yoga Protocol session, a welcome address by the Director General, DMRC Academy, and an inspiring address by the Managing Director highlighting the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for promoting holistic health, well-being and productivity. The event concluded with the National Anthem.

Visit of Officials from IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation

On 25 May 2026, officials from Digital Skills Academy, IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, namely Mr. Balamurali Shankar, Chief Knowledge Officer, and Prof. Madhusudhanan Baskaran, Principal AIML Consultant & Lead Faculty, visited DMRC Academy. Both organizations presented their academic, training, and research initiatives, followed by discussions on potential collaboration through an MoU in the areas of training, research, faculty development, and technological advancement. The IITM Pravartak team also invited DMRC Academy officials to IIT Madras for further academic and technical engagement. The visit laid a strong foundation for future collaboration in the field of emerging technologies and skill development.

Cultural Evening “Kala Sangam” for CMRL O&M Phase-II Trainees

On 22 May 2026, DMRC Academy organized “Kala Sangam” at the Shastri Park Campus Auditorium as a part of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) initiative for CMRL O&M Phase-II trainees. The event witnessed participation from 75 trainees across three batches of Operations, Signalling, and Telecom departments and featured 12 cultural performances, including singing, dance, instrumental music, poetry, and regional cultural presentations. Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Sh. R. D. Choudhury, Executive Director (HR), appreciated the participants and emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities in fostering holistic development, teamwork, and community spirit among trainees.

Successful Conduct of Four Batches of Sanskrit Conversation Training

DMRC Academy successfully conducted four batches of “Sanskrit Sambhashan Prashikshan” (Sanskrit Conversation Training) on 29–30 January, 20–21 February, 23–24 April, and 21–22 May 2026. A total of 89 Operations Department employees participated in these batches, bringing the cumulative number of trained employees to 215 across ten batches. Conducted by expert instructors from Sanskrit Bharati, Delhi, the two-day programme focused on spoken Sanskrit, comprehension skills, basic grammar, sentence formation, and practical metro-related vocabulary for effective communication.

Visit of Additional Member (HR), Railway Board

Dr. V. G. Bhooma, Additional Member (HR), Railway Board, visited DMRC Academy on 22 May 2026 to gain insights into its training infrastructure and capacity-building initiatives. During the visit, she interacted with CMRL O&M Phase-II trainees and encouraged them to contribute to the growth of the metro rail sector. She was also briefed on the Academy’s infrastructure, training methodologies, and Centre of Excellence through a documentary presentation. The visit concluded with a tour of the RS-2 Driving Simulator, where she observed the Academy’s advanced practical training facilities designed for the skill enhancement of metro professionals. Appreciating the DMRC Academy, she remarked, “DMRC Academy is not just a training centre; it is a comprehensive development and learning ecosystem.”

DMRC Academy welcomed Indian Administrative Service (IAS) probationary officers on 15 May 2026 as part of their exposure visit programme. The officers were introduced to the Academy’s advanced training ecosystem through a presentation on its state-of-the-art infrastructure, specialised demonstration facilities, and capacity-building initiatives for the metro rail sector. The visit also included an interactive session with the Director General, DMRC Academy, fostering a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences. Half Day Webinar on “Regulatory Compliance: Regulations Governing MRTS”

DMRC Academy, through its Operations Wing, successfully conducted a half-day webinar on “Regulatory Compliance: Regulations Governing MRTS” on 13 May 2026, with participation from around 50 officials from across the DMRC family. The session covered key provisions of the ‘Metro Railways (Operation and Maintenance) Act, 2002’, ‘Opening of Metro Railways for Public Carriage of Passengers Rules, 2013’, and common observations raised and issues highlighted during CMRS inspections. Participants appreciated the practical insights and relevance of the session in strengthening regulatory compliance awareness.

DMRC Academy had the privilege of hosting Mr. Heiko Schutto, Chief Operating Officer, DB RRTS Operations India on 12 May 2026. The visit included a presentation on the Academy and screening of its documentary showcasing state-of-the-art training facilities, specialised laboratories, Centres of Excellence, and capacity-building initiatives for the metro rail sector. The delegation also toured various training facilities and practical learning setups, followed by an interactive session with the Director General, DMRC Academy. Visit of Bhutan Government Officials under AITD Railway Training Program On 29 Apr. 2026, DMRC Academy hosted officials from the Bhutan Government under the AITD Railway Training Program as part of their exposure visit. The delegation was briefed on the Academy’s advanced training infrastructure, specialized simulators and CBT Labs etc. through a documentary presentation, followed by an interactive session with the Director General, DMRC Academy. The officials also visited simulator-based technical training setup.

Visit of Ambassador (East & Central Africa) to DMRC Academy

On 29 Apr. 2026, DMRC Academy hosted Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Ambassador (East and Central Africa). He was briefed on the Academy’s infrastructure and training methodologies, highlighting its role in capacity building for the metro sector. This was followed by a tour of key training facilities showcasing advanced, hands-on learning environments. He expressed his appreciation for the Academy, remarking, “Amazing experience and a highly professional academy.”

Technical Workshop on Ground Engineering & Reinforced Soil Techniques

On 24 Apr. 2026, DMRC Academy successfully conducted a one-day technical workshop on “Ground Engineering and Reinforced Soil Techniques.” The programme witnessed participation from officials across various levels, including CREs, Managers, and Junior Engineers. Expert sessions by industry specialists covered key areas such as reinforced soil structures, ground stabilization, slope protection, and geosynthetics. The workshop also included interactive discussions and case studies, enhancing practical understanding. The programme was widely appreciated for its technical depth and practical relevance, reaffirming the Academy’s commitment to capacity building and excellence in civil engineering practices.

DMRC–INSEAD Leadership Development Program (LDP)

DMRC Academy, in collaboration with INSEAD, successfully conducted the Leadership Development Program (LDP) “Shaping Leaders for Future” in April 2026. The program was delivered in two modules — Delhi (08–10 April) and Singapore (15–17 April) — the program brought together senior officers from 10 metro organisations and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The program at DMRC Academy covered key themes such as Digital Transformation, Project Management, AI, and Strategic Leadership, complemented by technical visits and global faculty sessions. The module at Singapore featured sessions by distinguished INSEAD faculty on customer-centric leadership, ecosystem-based strategic thinking, Blue Ocean Strategy, and change management through simulation-based learning. The program received excellent feedback and emerged as a benchmark initiative combining DMRC’s operational expertise with INSEAD’s global leadership excellence to develop future-ready leaders for India’s urban mobility sector.

SADHANA Saptah Workshops

In line with directions from Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs under Mission Karmayogi – SADHANA Saptah (02–08 April 2026), DMRC Academy successfully organised a series of three theme-based workshops in physical mode. Aligned with the pillars of Technology, Tradition, and Tangible Outcomes, the workshops covered topics including AI & Cyber Security in Metro Systems (03–04 April), Indian Knowledge Systems in Governance (06 April), and Digitalisation in Passenger Services (07 April). The sessions witnessed active participation from DMRC officials and focused on emerging technologies, governance practices, and citizen-centric service delivery. The initiative was successfully implemented within the stipulated timeline, reinforcing DMRC’s commitment to capacity building, ethical governance, and innovation-driven public service delivery.

Visit of Joint Secretary, External Publicity & Public Diplomacy, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)

On 04 Apr. 2026, Sh. Rajesh Parihar, Joint Secretary (XP), Ministry of External Affairs visited Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Academy to gain insights into its training infrastructure and capacity-building initiatives. He was presented a documentary on the Academy’s advanced facilities and training capabilities, followed by a visit to key labs and simulator-based training setups. The visit showcased the Academy’s technology-driven environment supporting skill development in the metro rail sector.

Visit of Officers trainees from Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management

On 27 Mar. 2026, DMRC Academy hosted a learning visit of officers from Central and State Government Services pursuing MBA (Financial Management) at Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management. The trainees were briefed on the Academy’s state-of-the-art training infrastructure, followed by a guided tour of key facilities including simulators, model rooms, and CBT labs. A special session on finance by CGM (Finance), DMRC, was also conducted, enriching the participants’ understanding on financial management.

DMRC Signs MoU with INSEAD – The Business School for the World, Singapore

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INSEAD, The Business School for the World, Singapore on 23 Mar. 2026 to strengthen capacity building and foster professional excellence across the Metro sector through participative and immersive learning. The MoU aims to deepen understanding of Metro rail management from strategic, business, and customer satisfaction perspectives. It also provides a structured platform for the seamless exchange of knowledge, ideas, and expertise between DMRC Academy and INSEAD Singapore. This collaboration brings together DMRC’s domain expertise in Urban Transport & Metro Rail Systems with INSEAD’s global academic excellence in leadership, strategy, and management education. The MoU reflects the shared commitment of both organisations to advancing skills, promoting innovation, and adopting global best practices, thereby contributing to the continued growth and modernization of urban transportation systems. The MoU was signed by Sh. Ghansham Bansal, Director General/ DMRC Academy and Professor Sameer Hasija, Dean Executive Education & Asia Campus-INSEAD, Singapore in presence of Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD/ DMRC and other senior officials.

Mr. Qazi Miraj Ahmed, ADG/RDSO, visited DMRC Academy on 14 Mar. 2026, to review its training infrastructure and capacity-building initiatives. He was briefed on the Academy’s advanced facilities and training methodologies, followed by a visit to key labs and simulator-based training setups. He appreciated the Academy’s technology-driven ecosystem and highlighted the potential for collaboration with Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) to further strengthen innovation and skill development in the rail sector.

I-Metro Workshop on Grades of Automation at DMRC Academy

DMRC Academy successfully hosted the I-Metro Workshop on “Grades of Automation” on 13 Mar. 2026. The one-day program brought together officials from seven Indian metro systems, focusing on key aspects of metro Signalling and Automation—including CBTC standards, Grades of Automation, and UTO command & control. The workshop strengthened participants technical and operational capabilities in modern metro signalling and reaffirmed DMRC Academy’s commitment to delivering industry-oriented, high-quality capacity building for the metro sector. During the valedictory ceremony, Advisor/S&T Coordination Sh. Arun Kumar highlighted the importance of emerging signalling technologies, including DMRC’s pioneering UTO implementation as India’s first metro system, AI-driven predictive maintenance and mixed AR/VR applications.

Technical Workshop on Rail Welding & USFD Testing

On 13 Mar. 2026, DMRC Academy successfully conducted a one-day technical workshop on “Techniques of Rail Welding and Ultrasonic Flaw Detection (USFD) Testing.” The programme saw participation from 36 officials, including representatives from National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited, Kochi Metro Rail Limited, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited, and Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited. Expert sessions by Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering (Pune) and industry specialists were complemented by hands-on training on USFD of AT welds. The workshop was widely appreciated for its practical approach and technical depth, reaffirming the Academy’s commitment to capacity building and excellence in metro rail systems.

Visit of Defence Officials led by Major General C. J. Jayachandran, ADGE (PERS)

On 11 Mar. 2026, Maj Gen C. J. Jayachandran led delegation visited DMRC Academy to gain insights into the training infrastructure and capacity-building initiatives of DMRC. The officials were given a detailed presentation on the Academy and its facilities. Following the presentation, the officials were given a guided tour of the training facility. Workshop on “Contract Management: Insights and Experience Sharing”

On 10 Mar. 2026, DMRC Academy hosted a workshop on "Contract Management" delivered by former MD, Dr. Mangu Singh. Senior executives from DMRC and National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) attended the session and gained strategic insights into infrastructure project delivery, emphasizing timely decision-making and transparent coordination for success. The workshop concluded with an engaging discussion and exchange of ideas, making it a valuable learning opportunity for the participating executives.

Administration of Safety and Health Pledge

On 05 Mar. 2026, Safety and Health Pledge was administered to all faculty members, staff, and trainees as part of Safety Awareness Week (04–10 March 2026) observed in DMRC. The pledge was administered by the Director General, DMRC Academy, reaffirming the collective commitment towards maintaining high standards of safety across all operations and activities.

Technical Session on Smart Engineering for Sustainable Future

On 05 Mar. 2026, DMRC Academy hosted a technical session on “Smart Engineering for a Sustainable Future through Innovation and Digitalization” on the occasion of ‘World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development 2026’. The session was delivered by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC. Organized in association with Institution of Engineering and Technology – Delhi Local Network, the programme saw participation from DMRC officials and IET members in both offline and online modes. During the session Dr. Vikas Kumar highlighted advancements in smart engineering, digitalization, and sustainable urban mobility, along with DMRC’s initiatives in automation, AI, and energy-efficient practices.

Visit of Delegation from Sojitz Corporation, Japan

On 03 Mar. 2026, DMRC Academy welcomed a delegation from Sojitz Corporation, Japan. The visit included a comprehensive presentation on the Academy’s infrastructure, training methodologies, and Centres of Excellence, highlighting its structured approach towards capacity building in the metro rail sector. Discussions were also held on the competencies and training requirements for skilled manpower deployment in Japan. The delegation toured key training facilities, including Civil Demonstration Room, GMSM CBT Room, Metro Signalling Model Room, RS-10 Bogie Section, Brakes & Pneumatics Room, and the RS-2 Driving Simulator. The delegation appreciated the Academy’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, immersive learning environment, and strong focus on practical, application-oriented training aligned with global standards.

Exploring Heritage and Governance: Our Learning Visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan and Amrit Udyan

On 25 Feb. 2026, DMRC Academy’s Faculty members and officials undertook an official learning visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan and Amrit Udyan under the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) initiative. The visit was organized to provide enriching exposure to India’s constitutional heritage, governance framework, and institutional legacy. Participants gained valuable insights into the functioning of the highest constitutional office of the country, its historical evolution, architectural grandeur, and administrative significance. The visit to Amrit Udyan further offered an appreciation of India’s rich horticultural traditions and cultural ethos. The learning tour served as a meaningful step towards strengthening institutional awareness and deepening understanding of India’s governance systems among Academy officials.

On 20 Feb. 2026, DMRC Academy hosted an official visit organized by the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) for Senior Technical Officers from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) as part of their Techno-Managerial Skill Development Programme. The visit commenced with a comprehensive presentation highlighting the Academy’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, training capabilities, and Centres of Excellence. The officers were subsequently taken on a guided tour of key training facilities, including the Civil Demonstration Room, GMSM CBT Room, Metro Signalling Model Room, RS-10 Bogie Section, Brakes & Pneumatics Room, and the RS-2 Driving Simulator. The participants expressed appreciation for the Academy’s advanced training ecosystem and its strong emphasis on practical, hands-on learning.

Enlightening Session on Mind Matters in pursuance of Indian Knowledge System

On 20 Feb. 2026, DMRC Academy organized an insightful session titled “Mind Matters: Stress-Free Mind in a High-Performance Environment” in line with the principles of the Indian Knowledge System. The session was conducted by Sh. Avinash Ghasi from APEX – the corporate training arm of ‘The Art of Living’. Sh. Ghasi led a guided meditation, highlighting the profound connection between mind and body and its influence on productivity and overall well-being. He elaborated on the seven states of human existence — Body, Breath, Mind, Intellect, Memory, Ego, and Self — and explained how their harmonious alignment enhances performance in competitive environments. The interactive session offered practical techniques for stress management, focus, and inner balance, concluding on an uplifting and energizing note for all participants.

Visit of Officers from Gujarat Administrative Services (Class-I) & Dept. of Science & Technology

On 19 Feb. 2026, DMRC Academy hosted an official visit organized by the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) for Gujarat Administrative Services (Class-I) Officers and Scientists from the Department of Science and Technology as part of their professional exposure programme. The visit began with a detailed presentation on the Academy’s infrastructure, training capabilities, Centres of Excellence, and Project Management practices, followed by an interactive discussion on Project Management. Subsequently, the officers toured key training facilities, including the GMSM CBT Room, Metro Signalling Model Room, RS-10 Bogie Section, Brakes & Pneumatics Room, and RS-2 Driving Simulator. One-Day Workshop on “Advancements in Traction System” conducted by DMRC Academy for iMETRO

DMRC Academy successfully conducted a one-day technical workshop on “Advancements in Traction System” for Indian Metro Rail Organizations’ Society (iMETRO), aimed at enhancing technical knowledge, sharing best practices, and discussing emerging innovations in metro traction technology. The workshop witnessed active participation from engineers and technical professionals representing various metro rail corporations across India. The sessions focused on the latest developments in traction technology, SCADA systems, and financial sustainability through renewable energy integration, while promoting standardization of best practices among iMETRO member organizations. Interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, and expert-led experience sharing enabled participants to deliberate on operational challenges, including traction failures and energy management solutions. The workshop also served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration within India’s metro ecosystem, concluding with a vote of thanks and positive feedback from participants for its insightful and technically enriching deliberations.

DMRC Academy Showcases Innovation at Sonipat Start-up Summit 2026 - 4.0

DMRC Academy proudly represented its innovation-driven initiatives at the Sonipat Start-up Summit 2026, where the Metro Innovation Centre of Excellence (MICE) was showcased among leading exhibitors, investors, and emerging start-ups from across the region. The Academy’s stall attracted significant attention from investors, start-ups, industry representatives, and college students, who explored collaboration opportunities and gained insights into DMRC’s innovation ecosystem and incubation possibilities.

A key highlight of the summit was the panel discussion featuring our respected Director General who shared valuable insights on strengthening incubation and start up growth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. His perspectives on enabling regional innovation ecosystems and fostering industry–academia collaboration were highly appreciated. The session witnessed an enthusiastic participation of approximately 1000 attendees, including start-ups, industry leaders, and students, making it an engaging and insightful interaction.

Through this summit, DMRC Academy once again reaffirmed its leadership in promoting innovation, industry partnership, and start up incubation, while strengthening its outreach to young entrepreneurs and academic institutions.

On 06 Feb. 2026, DMRC Academy hosted officials from the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) during a visit organized by the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) as part of their residential training programme. The delegation was briefed on the Academy’s training capabilities and Centres of Excellence through a comprehensive presentation, followed by a guided tour of its state-of-the-art facilities, including the RS-2 Driving Simulator. The officials appreciated the Academy’s advanced simulators and technology-driven training ecosystem. The visit served as a valuable platform for professional interaction and knowledge exchange.

Educational Visit of Trainees to Rashtrapati Bhavan and Amrit Udyan

On 04 February 2026, DMRC Academy organized an educational visit for trainees of the reshuffling batch (Train Operations to Station Operations) to Rashtrapati Bhavan and Amrit Udyan as part of its long-duration training programme. The visit provided valuable experiential exposure to India’s constitutional framework, governance system, architectural heritage, and environmental sustainability initiatives. Through this enriching experience, trainees developed a deeper understanding of constitutional values and democratic traditions, strengthened their appreciation for heritage conservation, and enhanced their awareness of environmental stewardship. The visit also reinforced qualities of discipline, civic responsibility, and national pride, contributing significantly to their holistic development beyond the classroom.

Customized Foundation Training for Alstom Transportation India Limited Officials

DMRC Academy organised Customized Foundation Training for 52 officials of Alstom Transportation India Limited to enhance their technical knowledge and operational readiness. The programme was structured in two batches of eight days each. The first batch underwent training from 29 Dec. 2025 to 6 Jan. 2026, while the second batch attended from 19 Jan. 2026 to 29 Jan. 2026. The training provided participants with essential foundational knowledge and practical exposure, equipping them to efficiently contribute to metro operations and maintenance activities.

Cultural Evening on the occasion of 77th Republic Day

On 23 Jan. 2026, on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day of India, DMRC Academy organised a cultural evening to commemorate the spirit of democracy, unity, and national pride. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge, integrity, and the guiding values of the nation, followed by Saraswati Vandana and a series of soulful cultural performances. The cultural evening provided a meaningful platform to reinforce the values of patriotism, discipline, and collective responsibility among officers, faculty members, and trainees of the Academy, in alignment with DMRC’s enduring ethos of service to the nation.

Workshop on “Art of Contract Management”

DMRC Academy organised Workshop on “Art of Contract Management” from 19 to 23 Jan. 2026. The five days’ workshop covered a wide range of topics, including tendering and contract management processes, legal aspects, General Conditions of Contract, comparison of Indian contract conditions with FIDIC provisions, case studies, common contractual pitfalls, negotiation skills, and interactive sessions with experts. An exclusive interaction with the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) was also part of the programme. The workshop was attended by 22 nominated participants from DMRC, representing various organisational levels and diverse functional backgrounds, facilitating rich discussions and practical learning.

On 19 Jan. 2026, Sh. V. V. S. Sreenivas, Senior Professor and Director (I/C), Indian Railways Institute of Disaster Management (IRIDM), visited DMRC Academy. During the visit, he was briefed in detail on the Academy’s training mandate, programmes, and capabilities. He also toured the Academy’s state-of-the-art training facilities. Sh. DMRC Academy organised a one-day workshop on “Public Procurement & Tendering” under Centre of Excellence in Tunnelling and Underground Space Engineering (CETUSE) on 9 Jan. 2026. The workshop was attended by 13 nominated participants from DMRC, representing various organisational levels and diverse functional backgrounds including Architecture, Civil Construction, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and Design. The programme featured expert sessions on “Procurement through GeM” and “Tendering in Works”. The workshop included discussions on public procurement processes through GeM, tendering procedures for works, and analysis of relevant case studies, providing participants with practical insights and enhanced understanding of procurement and tendering practices.
