DMRC Academy Hosts Capacity Building Training on CTE Type Intensive Examination by Central Vigilance Commission
DMRC Academy hosted a two-day training program organized by Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) on CTE Type Intensive Examination, held on 29th and 30th September 2025 at the DMRC Academy, Delhi.
The training session saw active participation from 26 senior officials representing 15 organizations across various government departments and public sector undertakings (PSUs), including officials from DMRC. The program aimed to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance understanding of vigilance mechanisms, particularly in the domain of public procurement and intensive examination procedures.
The training covered key areas including CTE Type Intensive Examination guidelines and public procurement frameworks for works, goods, and consultancy services. Sh. Ashok Kumar, CTE/CVC, and Sh. Shailendra Singh, DDG/CPWD conducted informative sessions. Participants engaged in experience sharing through case studies. The interactive sessions concluded with an open house for feedback and deeper discussion.
The officials were then taken on a guided tour of key training facilities, including the Civil Demo Room, Metro Signaling Model Room, Digital Library, GMSM Room, Bogie/Brake & Pneumatics TCMS Simulator, and RS-2 Driving Simulator. The tour offered the officials valuable insights into the Academy’s robust, practical, and hands-on training infrastructure.

DMRC Academy Organizes Capacity Building Program under Preventive Vigilance Measures (VAW–2025)
As part of the Preventive Vigilance Measures under Vigilance Awareness Week–2025, DMRC Academy successfully organized four batches of a one-day Capacity Building Course (CBC) on 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 26th September 2025, during the month of September, as part of a three-month-long campaign to promote ethical practices and enhance vigilance awareness.
Across all four batches, participants engaged in sessions covering a comprehensive range of topics including iGOT modules, CTE-type examinations, vigilance investigations, framing of charge sheets, cyber hygiene, ethics in public service, and conduct rules.
The initiative aimed to strengthen the culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the organization by equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to uphold high ethical standards in public service. The sessions were well-received and contributed meaningfully to DMRC’s ongoing commitment to preventive vigilance and good governance.

DMRC Academy organizes Customized Training Program on MRTS for 2nd Batch of Indian Railway Management Services (IRMS) Officers
A total of 31 IRMS officers successfully completed a week-long Customized Course on Mass Rapid Transit Systems (MRTS) at the DMRC Academy from 22nd to 26th September 2025. The batch comprised 30 trainees from the 2023 batch and one from the 2022 batch. Prior to this, the officers had undergone various training modules covering the Overview of Indian Railways and Basic Railway Operations at institutions such as LBSNAA, IRITM, GSV, IRIMEE, IRICEN, ZRTI Udaipur, ZRTI Bhusawal, CRIS, and PSUs like NTPC.
The training at DMRC focused on imparting a comprehensive understanding of urban transit systems. Key topics included DMRC operations, electrical systems, rolling stock, project financing, station architecture, multimodal integration, last-mile connectivity, and disaster management. The officers had interactive sessions with senior DMRC officials including MD/DMRC, which provided practical insights into metro operations and management.
The program concluded with a cultural evening on 26th September 2025, where the trainees showcased their talents through performances including a classical music recital and a group song, marking a memorable end to their training at DMRC.

DMRC Academy Conducts Customized Training Program on MRTS for 1st Batch of Indian Railway Management Services (IRMS) Officers
DMRC Academy successfully organized a customized training program from 15th to 19th September 2025, tailored specifically for officers of the Indian Railway Management Services (IRMS). This specialized program was designed to deepen their understanding of Metro Rail Systems, equipping them with critical insights into the sector.
The training covered a wide range of topics, including metro operations, management strategies, non-fare box revenue, traffic forecasting, and multi-modal transport integration, among others. Through a balanced mix of theoretical sessions and field visits, participants gained valuable perspectives from experienced faculty members and industry experts. During the program, Shri Srinivas R. Katikithala, Secretary/MoHUA & Chairman/DMRC, and Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD/DMRC, interacted with the probationers, sharing their vision and offering valuable guidance. The program concluded with an interactive session with the Director (Operations & Services), who shared his strategic insights and extensive experience, leaving the officers inspired and better equipped for future challenges. The training was attended by 25 executives.
As part of the program, DMRC Academy also hosted a Cultural Evening on 17th September 2025, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, IRMS probationers, and other trainees. The event featured a vibrant mix of soulful performances—including musical renditions, poetry recitations, and group songs—showcasing the diverse talents of the participants. The evening fostered a warm and lively atmosphere, promoting camaraderie and adding a memorable cultural dimension to the overall training experience.

DMRC Academy Hosts Brainstorming Session on Technical Capacity Building
DMRC Academy had the honour of welcoming Shri Srinivas R. Katikithala, Secretary/MoHUA & Chairman/DMRC, during a significant visit to the DMRC Academy on 18th September 2025. He was accompanied by senior officials from MoHUA, CPWD, CPHEEO, World Bank, NDB, JICA, DDA, AFD, GIZ & ADB. The visit featured insightful discussions, interactive exchanges.
The dignitaries were welcomed by DG/DMRC Academy, followed by a detailed presentation showcasing the Academy’s training capabilities, technological advancements, collaborations, and its strategic role in building skilled manpower for the urban transit sector. This was followed by an address by the Chairman/DMRC who emphasized the critical role of organizations in developing future-ready professionals by institutionalization of training capabilities.
This was followed by the presentations from Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Central Public Health and Environmental Engineering Organization (CPHEEO), Housing, National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), Town and Country Planning Organization (TCPO), and the World Bank, after which a comprehensive and insightful discussion ensued. The event concluded with an interaction between the Shri Srinivas R. Katikithala, Secretary/MoHUA & Chairman/DMRC along with Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD/DMRC and the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) 2022 batch, during which he shared his vision and offered guidance to the probationers.

DMRC Academy Signs MoU with IRICEN to promote collaboration in Metro-Railway sector
On 12th September 2025, DMRC Academy, the specialized training arm of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Railway Institute of Civil Engineering (IRICEN), Pune. The MoU establishes a broad framework for future academic, training, and research related collaborations between the two institutions. It aims to enhance capacity building, skill development, and knowledge sharing in the metro and rail sectors.
The collaboration seeks to foster innovation, promote sustainable public transport solutions, and explore joint areas for fostering innovation and creativity. Both organizations envision mutual growth and sectoral advancement through this strategic partnership. This MoU marks a significant step toward strengthening India’s transportation infrastructure through joint efforts.

DMRC Academy Conducted Training for 4th Batch of the Sanskrit Training Program
DMRC Academy successfully organized the fourth batch of its Sanskrit language training program from 11th to 12th September 2025. The program saw the participation of 22 employees from the Operations Department.
This two-day training aimed to enhance participants' spoken Sanskrit and comprehension, with a special focus on practical metro-related vocabulary for effective communication in Sanskrit. Conducted by experienced instructors from Sanskrit Bharati, Delhi, the sessions covered conversational skills, basic grammar, and sentence structure.

Visit of Officials from Zonal Railway Training Institute of Indian Railways to DMRC Academy
On 12th September 2025, DMRC Academy hosted Addl. Member/ Traffic, PED/Traffic Transportation all Principals/MDZTISs of Zonal Railway Training Institutes (ZRTIs), Indian Railways, for a visit focused on exploring DMRC's training facilities and methodologies adopted by DMRC Academy.
The officials were given a brief presentation on DMRC Academy and its offerings, providing them with an overview of the Academy's comprehensive training capabilities. This was followed by an address by the Director/ Operation & Services who emphasized the critical role of training institutions in developing future-ready rail professionals.
The delegation was then taken on a guided tour of key training facilities, including the GMSM Room, ATS Simulator, Bogie/Brake & Pneumatics TCMS Simulator, Door Maintenance Simulator, and RS-2 Driving Simulator. DMRC Academy conducts “Customised training on Civil Engineering” for Executives of NBCC
DMRC Academy successfully conducted a 5-day customised training programme on “Civil Engineering and Contract Management” for the engineers of NBCC(India) Ltd. from 8th to 12th September-2025. Total 19 officers from DPM to AGM level took part in the training.
The training was designed to combine interactive classroom sessions with practical learning experiences. A key highlight of the program was a site visit to the Mundka Casting Yard, providing participants with invaluable exposure to on-ground civil engineering practices.

On 28th August 2025, DMRC Academy hosted a delegation from SBS Transit Ltd., Singapore. They were briefed on the academy's training capabilities and taken on a guided tour of key facilities, including Civil Demo Room, Metro Signaling Model Room, Bogie/Brake & Pneumatics TCMS Simulator, and RS-2 Driving Simulator. On 26th August 2025, DMRC, in collaboration with i-Metro Society, organized a Technical Seminar at DMRC Academy on advanced materials and tunnelling technologies, including SFRC, GFRC, UHPC, and innovations in Tunnel Boring Machines. Attended by professionals and senior officials from DMRC and other metro organizations, the seminar featured insightful presentations and case studies on topics like UHPC applications in metro structures, SFRC in tunnel linings (Mumbai Metro Line-3), and the latest developments in TBM technology. The event fostered valuable knowledge exchange between academia, industry experts, and metro professionals, promoting adoption of modern construction practices.

To mark the 79th Independence Day, DMRC Academy organized a Quiz Competition on 14th August 2025. Twelve trainees, grouped into four teams of three each, enthusiastically participated in the event. The contest concluded with the distribution of certificates and prizes to all participants by DG/DMRC Academy, making the occasion both memorable and inspiring.

On 8th August 2025, DMRC Academy hosted a session on “Spirituality at Workplace – Value and Ethics” by Swami Chidrupananda Ji of Chinmaya Mission. Welcomed by DG/DMRC Academy presented the welcome address. The session emphasized integrating Indic Knowledge Systems into the curriculum. Swami Ji spoke on spirituality as a foundation for integrity, compassion, and collective progress at work. Over 90 participants attended, and GM/HR concluded the session by reaffirming DMRC’s commitment to ethical and value-driven culture.

DMRC Academy conducted training for 3rd Batch of the Sanskrit Training Program
DMRC Academy conducted the third batch of its Sanskrit language training program from 4th–5th August 2025, with 25 Operations Department employees participating. The program, led by instructors from Sanskrit Bharati, Delhi, focused on spoken Sanskrit, metro-related vocabulary, and basic grammar. To date, 64 employees have completed the Sanskrit training, which promotes effective communication through Sanskrit.

On 2nd August 2025, DMRC Academy conducted an environmental awareness campaign at Govt. Senior Secondary School, Balour, Bahadurgarh (Haryana), engaging students of Classes 8 to10. The session highlighted DMRC’s role in sustainability, promoting green energy, public transport, and eco-friendly practices. Students were encouraged to adopt responsible habits and become proactive environmental stewards.

On 25 July 2025, the DMRC Academy hosted a session on Ayurveda featuring Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Vyas and Dr. Nikita Sharma from the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA). DMRC Academy recommended for award of ISO 14001:2015 Certification
DMRC Academy has been recommended for the ISO 14001:2015 certification, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The certification process involved a comprehensive assessment of the Academy’s environmental management system, covering performance monitoring, waste management practices, and energy-efficiency measures. This recommendation complements the Academy’s existing credentials, including CBC National Standards accreditation, NABET and NCVET’s dual recognition as both an Awarding Body and an Assessment Agency. The Academy also holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for the design, development, and delivery of its training programs.

On 16 Jul. 2025, Dr. Alka Mittal (Member/Admin) and Dr. R. Balasubramaniam (Member/HR) of the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), accompanied by their team, visited the Golden Line (Line-10) project site at Basant Kunj. Facilitated by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, CPM-5, the visit began with a detailed presentation on on tunnelling and construction progress. Sh. Ghansham Bansal, Director General of DMRC Academy, and key faculty members joined the delegation throughout the tour. The delegation observed advanced EPB-TBM operations and praised DMRC’s technological efficiency and safety measures while engaging in valuable knowledge exchange.

On 7July, 2025, DMRC Academy welcomed a delegation from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, including Prof. (Dr.) G. Sundar (Director of Off-Campus Programs and Industry Engagement (WILP), BITS), Prof. P. B. Venkataraman (Dean/WILP and Professor of Mechanical Engineering, BITS) and Ms. Supriya Lakra (Country Advisor for South Asia, RMIT University).
The Principal of DMRC Academy delivered an overview of the Academy’s facilities, highlighting its training capabilities. Discussions then focused on possible collaborations, particularly in metro training and academic research. Afterwards, the delegation toured the Academy’s advanced training facilities, such as the Civil Demonstration Room, Digital Library, and various Simulators. The RMIT officials expressed high appreciation for the academy’s modern infrastructure and the hospitality, describing the visit an “Excellent” experience.

On 4 July 2025, DMRC Academy hosted a visit by Group ‘A’ Trainee Officers of Indian Information Service. The officers were introduced to DMRC Academy’s operations and training methods. The visit began with an interaction with the Senior Professor (Civil) of DMRC Academy, followed by a presentation from the Principal of DMRC Academy outlining DMRC's history and the Academy's role in training and capacity building for metro railway personnel, both within India and internationally. The visit concluded with a tour of the Academy’s advanced training facilities, including the RS-2 Driving Simulator and the Tunnel Cutter Head at the True Scale Tunnelling Centre

DMRC Academy conducts Customised Training Program for Central University of Haryana Officials
DMRC and the Central University of Haryana signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 6 June 2025 to promote capacity building through faculty and student exchange, and to offer affiliated courses in Metro Technology, among other initiatives.
In this context, at the request of the Central University of Haryana, a three-day customized training program was organized for their faculty from 30 June 2025 to 2 July 2025. Five faculty members from the university attended the program.
The first day of the training included a brief overview of the functioning of various DMRC departments—such as Civil, Electrical & Mechanical (E&M), Signaling & Telecommunications (S&T), and Rolling Stock—delivered by the respective department professors. On the second day, participants were introduced to the design aspects of metro structures. A felicitation ceremony was also held, during which the Director General and Senior Professor (Civil) of DMRC Academy presented souvenirs to the participants. The final day featured site visits to the Mundka Casting Yard and the underground station and tunnel at Nabi Karim.
The participants expressed sincere appreciation for the training program, highlighting its relevance and positive impact on their professional development.

The delegation engaged in a productive and insightful meeting with Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC, at Metro Bhawan. Following this, the officials proceeded to DMRC Academy, where they were presented with a comprehensive overview of the Academy’s cutting-edge training infrastructure. The delegation was taken on an extensive tour of various specialized facilities, including the Civil Demonstration Room, GMSM Room, Digital Library, Bogie, Brake & Pneumatics Simulator, VCC/Traction Motor/Drive Gear Simulator, and the RS-2 Driving Simulator. DMRC Academy conducts Customized Training for MP Metro Officials
DMRC Academy successfully conducted a customised training program for the second batch of ten officials from the Operations Department of MP Metro. The program commenced on 21 May 2025 and concluded on 1 July 2025. It combined theoretical instruction with extensive practical exposure to critical areas of metro operations. The objective of the training was to prepare participants for independent operational duties within a metro rail system. Trainers and facilitators from DMRC Academy delivered comprehensive hands-on sessions, enhancing the skill sets of all participants.

Second Sanskrit Training Program Successfully Conducted at DMRC Academy
Following the positive response to its inaugural edition, DMRC Academy conducted the second batch of its Sanskrit Language Training Program on 26–27 June 2025. A total of 21 participants—19 Operations Department staff and 2 Academy faculty—attended the two-day workshop designed to enhance spoken and comprehension skills in Sanskrit. The curriculum placed special emphasis on metro-related vocabulary and practical phrases, empowering Customer Relations Assistants to interact confidently with Sanskrit-speaking passengers.
Experienced instructors from Sanskrit Bharati, Delhi, led interactive sessions covering everyday conversational Sanskrit, basic grammar, sentence structures, and hands-on exercises. The program was inaugurated and concluded by the Director General of DMRC Academy, whose address underscored the importance of preserving India’s linguistic heritage. Participants described the training as useful, engaging, and enriching. Buoyed by this success, DMRC Academy plans to offer additional introductory batches in the coming months.

DMRC Academy in Collaboration with IIT BHU Organizes First Short-Term Course on Contract Management
DMRC Academy, in collaboration with IIT (BHU) Varanasi, successfully conducted its first five-day Short Term Certificate Course on “Contract Management in Underground Works” from 23 to 27 June 2025. Organized under the Centre of Excellence in Tunnelling and Underground Space Engineering, the program featured expert lectures from both institutions and was attended by 15 Assistant Manager- and Manager-level DMRC executives.
The course concluded with a valedictory ceremony on 27 June 2025, attended virtually by the Managing Director of DMRC and the officiating Director of IIT (BHU). The ceremony opened with a welcome address by the Director General of DMRC Academy, who highlighted the achievements of this joint initiative and the collaborative journey between the two institutions. Participants then shared their feedback and were encouraged to take part in future programs. Certificates were presented, and the event closed with group photographs and refreshments to commemorate the successful completion of the course.

DMRC Academy Celebrates Eleventh International Yoga Day
On 21 June 2025, DMRC Academy celebrated the Eleventh International Day of Yoga under the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” Approximately 300 DMRC staff members—including trainees and faculty—participated enthusiastically.
The program opened with welcome address from the Director General of DMRC Academy. Director (Infrastructure) of DMRC drew on Indian scriptures to illustrate how yoga fosters a balanced lifestyle. A certified Yogacharya then guided participants through a rejuvenating yoga session, which concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Senior Professor (Civil), DMRC Academy.
Marking its eleventh consecutive celebration of International Day of Yoga, DMRC Academy reaffirmed its commitment to holistic health and wellness. By integrating physical practice with mental well-being, the Academy aims to inspire employees to adopt healthier, more balanced lives—solidifying this event as a lasting tradition.

DMRC Academy commemorated World Environment Day with a campus-wide plantation drive themed “हरित दिल्ली एवं प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को हराना”, on 05 Jun. 2025
The event was inaugurated by the Director General / DMRC Academy, who underscored the urgent need for environmental conservation and the adoption of sustainable practices.
Faculty, staff, and trainees enthusiastically participated, planting a diverse selection of trees and shrubs across the academy grounds and hostel premises. This initiative aims to expand the institution’s green cover, minimize plastic usage, and raise awareness about preserving mother earth.

DMRC in collaboration with UITP organized a Training program on Advanced Metro Operation and Maintenance
DMRC, in collaboration with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), organized a three-day training program on “Advanced Metro Operation and Maintenance” at the DMRC Academy from 19–21 May 2025.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC Ltd. The inauguration ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp and rendition of the Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing wisdom and knowledge.
This training program brought together international trainers and industry experts to share cutting-edge insights on modern practices, technological advancements, and innovative applications of AI, Big Data, IoT, and Machine Learning in metro rail operations, maintenance & project management.
Over the course of three days, participants explored a wide array of advanced topics associated with metro operations & maintenance. Key sessions included Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance, Digital Twin Applications in Metros, Best Practices in Project Management and Construction, Digitalization for Operational Efficiency & Customer Service, Energy Efficiency and Green Initiatives, Safety Management and Cybersecurity etc.
The training program was attended by 21 participants from various metro systems across India & abroad. The program also included technical visit to UTO Depots, OCC & training facilities in DMRC Academy to provide first-hand experience to the participants.

DMRC Academy conducted Training Program on AutoCAD for NCRTC officials
DMRC Academy successfully conducted a five-day training program on AutoCAD from 05 – 09 May 2025 for National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) officials. The training was facilitated by expert faculty from DMRC and M/s Aptech Ltd. The training program aimed at enhancing the technical proficiency of the participants in using AutoCAD for infrastructure design and project planning, was attended by 13 participants. The training program covered fundamental to advanced concepts of AutoCAD, including 2D drafting, layout planning, layer management, dimensioning, and an introduction to 3D modelling. The participants commended the effectiveness of the training.

Officials from Capacity Building Commission visited DMRC Academy
DMRC Academy hosted a visit by Dr. Alka Mittal, Member Administration/Capacity Building Commission, and her team from CBC on 05 May 2025. The officials were given a comprehensive presentation highlighting the academy’s state-of-the-art advanced training infrastructure. The CBC officials also provided a briefing on the various changes currently underway in the accreditation process. During the visit, the officials toured training facilities such as Civil Demo room, GMSM room, Digital Library, Bogie, Brake & Pneumatics room, VCC/Traction Motor/Drive Gear Simulator, RS-2 Driving Simulator etc. The tour offered them a detailed insight into the academy’s training capabilities.

Training on “Basic Computing Skills” for Multi-Tasking Staff
DMRC Academy successfully organized a Customized Training Program on Basic
Computing Skills from 29 April to 02 May 2025, for 19 Multi-Tasking staff from various
departments focusing on Computer Fundamentals, Ms-Word, Typing Skills, E-office
etc. The training included theoretical concept reinforced with hands on practice.
This specialized training aimed at capacity building and capacity enhancement of
the staff.

“Customised training on Civil Engineering” for Executives of NBCC
DMRC Academy successfully conducted a 5-day customized training program on
“Various aspects of Civil Engineering” for 5th Batch of NBCC executives, starting from
28th April to 2nd May, 2025. The program saw active participation from 25 NBCC
executives.
The training was designed to combine interactive classroom sessions with practical
learning experiences. A key highlight of the program was a site visit to the Mundka
Casting Yard, providing participants with invaluable exposure to on-ground civil
engineering practices. The training was well appreciated by the participants who
conveyed their appreciation during video conferencing interaction with CMD /
NBCC.

Sh. Jai Prakash/IRTS visited DMRC Academy
Sh. Jai Prakash, Principal/ZRTI, Udaipur along with his faculty members visited DMRC
Academy on 01 May, 2025. The visitors were briefed about the various training
process, infrastructure and other provisions of DMRC Academy. This was followed
by an elaborate tour of the various training facilities of the Academy, providing
them with an in-depth understanding of the academy's training capabilities.

Director/IIT-BHU visited DMRC Academy
DMRC Academy hosted a visit by Prof. Amit Patra, Director/IIT-BHU along with two
faculty members from IIT-BHU on 28 April 2025. During the visit, the officials were
welcomed and presented an insightful overview of the state-of-the-art training set
up in the academy. Subsequently, they toured training facilities including Centre of
Excellence in Tunnelling, Civil Demo room, Operation Demo room, GMSM room,
Digital Library, Bogie, Brake & Pneumatics Room, RS-2 Driving Simulator, Auditorium

DMRC Academy organised workshop on “Contract Management” for
DMRC Executives
DMRC Academy successfully conducted the fourth workshop on Contract
Management for DMRC executives from 21-25 April, 2025.
The five-day program covered various aspects of contract management, including
Project Management, Tendering, JICA vs Non-JICA Contract provisions, critical
analysis of GCC clauses, dispute resolution, procurement through GeM, and the

roles of Finance and Vigilance in contract management. A total of 26 participants
from diverse departments attended the workshop.

DMRC Academy organized training on “Testing and Commissioning of
UTO Trains” for Executives of Chennai Metro Rail Limited
DMRC Academy successfully organized a three-day customized training program
on “Testing and Commissioning of UTO trains” for Executives of Chennai Metro Rail
Limited from 16th – 19th April 2025. 13 Executives attended the training.
The program covered overview of the Rolling Stock & its layout and architecture,
permit to work procedures, Depot working, RDSO & CMRS certification and various
practical training on testing and commissioning of trains in UTO mode in UTO Depots.
The program received positive feedback from the participants.

DMRC Academy successfully conducted its first-ever Sanskrit Language
Training Program
DMRC Academy successfully organized its first-ever Sanskrit language training
program on 15 & 16 April 2025, with the participation of 20 employees from the
Operations Department.
The two-day program was designed to enhance the participants’ spoken,
comprehension and communication skills in Sanskrit, with special emphasis on
metro-related vocabulary and phrases.
The training was facilitated by experienced instructors from Sanskrit Bharati, Delhi.
The interactive session covered everyday conversational Sanskrit, basic grammar,
sentence structures, and practical exercises
The program was inaugurated and concluded with inspiring address by the Director
General/DMRC Academy. Participants appreciated the training, describing it as
highly useful, interesting, and enriching. DMRC Academy plans to organize similar
introductory batches in the future.

April 2025. During his visit, he was presented an insightful overview of the academy's

NDRF officials visited DMRC Academy
A team from National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) including IG/NDRF, Sh.
Narendra Singh Bundela and 08 other senior officials visited DMRC Academy on 3
April, 2025. They were given a tour of various facilities of the academy including
Demo rooms and various Maintenance & Driving Simulators. The visiting team
appreciated the world-class facilities of the academy.

DMRC Academy hosted Brainstorming Session for I-metro members
DMRC Academy organized a brainstorming session on 25 Mar. 2025, for participants from I-Metro organizations. The session was jointly inaugurated by Dr. P.K. Garg, Director (Business Development), and Sh. Rajiv Dhankher, Director (Projects and Planning).
The session focused on topics like minimizing tree felling, standardizing civil engineering components (structural, architectural, and PEB works), standardizing designs for station buildings; viaducts; tunnels & cross-passages, enhancing construction efficiency, cost optimization, effective record-keeping for delay compensation claims etc.
Key discussions revolved around implementation of the project more efficiently and standardization of various activities, in line with the advice of Hon’ble Chairman, DMRC in 157th BOD meeting held on 17 Jan. 2025. The session was attended by 27 participants from various metro systems across India, who highly appreciated DMRC Academy’s efforts in organizing the insightful discussion. It was followed by a tour of DMRC Academy’s facilities.

DMRC Academy conducts a Customized Training for Dhaka Metro Officials of Stores & Procurement and Finance & Accounts Departments
DMRC Academy successfully conducted training for two batches of Dhaka Metro officials. Training of first comprising of 5 officials from the Stores & Procurement Department was conducted from 21 Feb. to 21 Mar. 2025 while second batch comprising 8 officials from the Finance & Accounts Department was conducted from 26 Feb. to 26 Mar. 2025.
DMRC has an agreement with Dhaka Metro to provide training to their officials from various profiles. Earlier, 114 Dhaka Metro officials have already been trained at DMRC Academy.
The program included interactive sessions on core topics of Stores & Finance, general overview of various systems in metro systems, and field visits to various DMRC facilities like Depots, OCC, Station, Metro Museum, etc. The training aimed to equip the officials to perform their roles more effectively.
In order to promote co-curricular activities, a friendly cricket match was also organized on 01 Mar. 2025 between Dhaka Metro officials and Faculty members of DMRC Academy. It was an excellent display of sportsmanship and team spirit.
During their valedictory session, the trainees appreciated the efforts put in by the faculties as well as arrangement made by the Academy.

DMRC Academy organizes “Train the Trainer & Assessor Certificate Program” for Second batch of its Faculty Members
DMRC Academy organized "Train The Trainer & Assessor Certificate program” from 03 Mar. to 07 Mar. 2025 for second batch of its Faculty Members. Organized by NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research), Bhopal, the program aimed at enhancing the instructional design, training delivery, and assessment skills of 29 DMRC Academy faculty members.
The program covered key areas such as learning principles, content development, training models, instructional communication, and evaluation techniques. The program emphasized empowering faculty members with impactful teaching strategies, optimized media integration, and systematic assessment techniques to elevate the effectiveness of training delivery and significantly enhance learning outcomes. Participants took part in hands-on activities, including simulated teaching sessions, peer evaluations, and video-recorded presentations to refine their training competencies.

Sanskrit Learning Program inaugurated at DMRC Academy
DMRC Academy organized the inaugural function of the Sanskrit Learning Program for DMRC employees on 07 Mar. 2025. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director/DMRC; Dr. Amit Kumar Jain, Director/Operations & Services); and Sh. Jay Prakash Gautam, Akhil Bhartiya Sangathan Mantri, Sanskrit Bharati.
Speaking at the occasion, honorable MD/DMRC emphasized the need & importance of learning Sanskrit to enhance customer experience as well as to enrich cultural heritage.

Managing Director, DMRC inaugurates Centre of Excellence in Tunnelling including
Tunnel model at DMRC Academy on 25 February, 2025
In a major step towards advancing tunnelling education and infrastructure expertise, Dr. Vikas
Kumar, Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC), inaugurated the
prestigious Centre of Excellence in Tunnelling including Tunnel Model at DMRC Academy on 25
February 2025. The inauguration was attended by DMRC Directors, dignitaries from DTU, IIT
Delhi and IIT BHU along with senior officials, industry experts and key stakeholders.
The newly inaugurated Centre of Excellence in Tunnelling features a state-of-the-art Tunnel
Training Model, marking a significant milestone for DMRC Academy. This initiative strengthens
the Academy’s capabilities in providing world-class training for metro operations, construction,
and maintenance in tunnelling. The tunnel model will serve as an advanced hands-on learning
tool, fostering innovation and expertise among professionals in the field.
The establishment of the Tunnel Training Model underscores DMRC’s commitment to equipping
engineers and industry professionals with specialized knowledge in tunnelling technology. With
its cutting-edge facilities, the Academy aims to set new benchmarks in skill enhancement and
infrastructure development on a global scale.
During the event, dignitaries emphasized the global relevance of this initiative, highlighting its
role in advancing research and technological advancements in tunnelling. The Centre is
expected to cater to industry needs across the world, reaffirming DMRC Academy’s position as
a leader in tunnelling education and expertise.
This initiative marks a new era of specialized metro training and development, ensuring that
DMRC remains at the forefront of infrastructure excellence. The Tunnel Training Model will not
only enhance skill-building but also drive research and innovation in tunnelling, contributing to
the evolution of urban transportation systems worldwide.

JICA delegation visits DMRC Academy
DMRC Academy hosted an international delegation from JICA (Japan International Cooperation
Agency), consisting of Mr. Ken Kunieda, SAD-1/JICA HQ, and Ms. Shivani Chouhan,
Development Specialist of JICA, on 14 February 2025. The delegation was warmly welcomed
by the Director General of DMRC Academy. The delegation was given a brief presentation on
the Academy and its facilities, followed by a guided tour of the DMRC Academy facilities. The
highlights of the tour included visits to various Simulators, Digital Library, Civil Model Room and
Bogie Room, among others. The delegation expressed their appreciation for the well-structured
simulators and the state-of-the-art training environment. The JICA team acknowledged the
effective integration of technology into the learning process, which enhances the overall training
experience for participants. Mr. Ken, in his remarks, said, “The system is amazing. It’s a
pleasure and an honour to be here. Now I deeply understand why DMRC is so special. I would
like to express my gratitude.”

DMRC Academy organises “Workshop on Transit Oriented Development (TOD)” for various metros in I-Metro association
DMRC Academy conducted a workshop on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) for the officers
from different Indian metro organizations under I-Metro on 7 February 2025, facilitating
knowledge sharing of best practices in urban mobility.
Experts from DMRC & IIT Delhi delivered sessions on TOD policy, planning, governance, and
future trends. Participants also toured the Academy’s facilities and appreciated its state of art
infrastructure.
The workshop served as an enriching platform for fostering expertise in integrated urban transport planning.

DMRC Academy organizes a Customized Training Program for MMOPL Engineers on Siemens Signaling system.
DMRC Academy successfully organized a Customized Training Program from 27 January to 6
February, 2025 for 4 MMOPL (Mumbai Metro One Private Limited) Engineers, focusing on
practical aspects of reconfiguration of ATP, ATS and IXL System in Siemens Signaling. This
specialized training was designed to enhance the technical knowledge and skills of the trainees,
equipping them with a comprehensive understanding of signaling technology used in metro
operations.

DMRC Academy hosted TARANG -a cultural evening at DMRC Academy on 30 January 2025.
The evening began with the lighting of lamps, followed by soulful performances, a medley of
songs, group acts, and poetry recitations, all celebrating teamwork and spirit, and concluded
with a warm bonfire. A highlight was the Dumb Dance by DMRC Assistant Managers Batch,
bringing laughter and energy, while IRMS (Indian Railway Management Service) 2022
probationer Sh. Mohan Dan delighted everyone with a humorous poem by Kaka Hathrasi. The
event was graced by the presence of DMRC Academy’s Director General, other faculty
members, trainees and senior officers.

DMRC Academy organized a customized training program on MRTS from 27- 31 January, 2025, tailored specifically for 26 Officers of 2022 batch of Indian Railway Management Services (IRMS). This program was designed to equip participants with essential leadership, management, and technical skills associated with the Metro Railways. The training covered areas such as overview of Various systems, Security issues, Safety & Disaster Management, Property Development, Environmental issues etc. The program aimed to enhance the managerial capabilities of IRMS officers, preparing them to address the evolving challenges in India's railway sector. The DMRC Academy organized a four-day Athletic Meet from January 14th to 17th at Prakriti Park, Shastri Park, to encourage the values such as camaraderie, healthy competition, team building, hard work, commitment, discipline, resilience, etc. The event featured track and field events, including 100m, 200m, relay races, and thrilling tug of war events.
The finals were graced by the presence of Managing Director Dr. Vikas Kumar and Director/Operations and Services Dr. Amit Kumar Jain. After the event, the Managing Director presented Certificates and Medals to the winners, recognizing their hard work and commitment. The Meet was a resounding success, promoting discipline, fitness, and team spirit among all the participants.

DMRC Academy organized a one-day workshop on “Train Scheduling & Traffic Regulation Strategies” on 16th Dec 2024. The program was designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Senior Supervisors, equipping them with basic and advanced tools / strategies for effective train scheduling and traffic regulation. 29 Sr. Supervisors from Operations, Rolling & Signalling attended the program which included classroom sessions and OCC visit.

DMRC Academy organises Webinars on “Cyber Hygiene and Security” and “Recent Digitalization in Ticketing System in DMRC”
To foster an environment of knowledge sharing and professional enrichment, DMRC Academy organized a series of webinars on diverse topics of general interest in the month of December 2024. These sessions offered an excellent learning opportunity for employees across all departments.
The first webinar on “Cyber Hygiene and Security” was attended by 83 participants and emphasized best practices to safeguard digital workspaces. The second webinar on “Recent Digitalization in Ticketing System in DMRC” attracted 82 participants and discussed digital advancements revolutionizing ticketing operations in DMRC. The third webinar on “Time Tabling & Train Scheduling” was conducted on 27th Dec, 2024.

First batch of TADK/FH/MTS completes training at DMRC Academy
A valediction program was organized by DMRC Academy on 6th December 2024 for TADK/FH/MTS batch, not only to celebrate the completion of the course but also to inspire the trainees to embrace future challenges with confidence and optimism. DG/DMRC Academy, ED/HR, ED/Coordination Patna, GM HR including Principal, Professors and Faculty of DMRC Academy attended the function. Trainees shared their learning experiences, expressing gratitude for the knowledge and skills acquired during the program. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of course completion certificates to the trainees.
This inaugural batch consisted of 45 TADKs, who reported to DMRC Academy on 1st July 2024. Over the course of five months, the trainees underwent rigorous training, which they successfully completed on 6th December 2024.

International delegation from South Korea visits DMRC Academy
DMRC Academy hosted an international delegation from Seoul Metro and Hanyang University, South Korea on 10th Dec, 2024. The delegation, comprising 20 members were warmly welcomed by Director General/ DMRC Academy, followed by a brief presentation on DMRC Academy and its facilities and a visit to the academy’s advanced simulators, providing them with an understanding of the academy's training capabilities. The visit also facilitated a dialogue on potential future cooperation in metro operations and training. The delegates engaged in rich exchange of ideas and perspectives and appreciated DMRC Academy for its hospitality, experienced faculties, and impressive training facilities.

Director, Israel Metro visited DMRC Academy on 29th Nov, 2024. She was welcomed by DG/DMRC Academy and taken on a tour to the training facilities at the academy which included Driving and Maintenance Simulators, various Demonstration rooms, etc. The director expressed her appreciation for the state-of-the-art facilities and training capabilities of the academy.

Seventh Management Development Program for Dy. HODs organized at DMRC Academy
DMRC Academy successfully conducted the Seventh Management Development Program for 13 nos. of Dy. HOD level officers of various departments, from 18th November to 02nd December, 2024. The program included interactive organizational development sessions at DMRC Academy, Leadership & Management training at FMS, Delhi and insightful Industrial Visit to National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), Anand, Gujrat. The program has been designed to enrich the participants with advanced tools and skills so that they can further contribute to the organization's growth and success.
Sh. Rajiv Dhankher, Director/Project & Planning, interacted with the participants and emphasized the importance of effective management, sharing his valuable insights and experiences, which greatly inspired and motivated everyone present.

DMRC Academy organized 2nd program titled “Towards an Ethical Work Culture” for DMRC & SAIL Executives
DMRC Academy (DMRCA) organized a 3 days’ program from 11th to 13th November, 2024 on " Towards an Ethical Work Culture" in collaboration with the IC Centre for Governance (ICCfG). 21 DMRC executives & 01 SAIL Executive attended the program which focused on fostering integrity, transparency, and accountability in the workplace. Besides practical and interactive session with eminent speakers, the program provided the participants an insight into best practices in Ethical Work Culture adopted by DMRC. The program received unanimous appreciation from the participants, highlighting its relevance and effectiveness.

Renaming of DMRA as DMRC Academy
Delhi Metro Rail Academy (DMRA) has been renamed as DMRC Academy. The renaming has been undertaken to align the academy’s name more closely with its parent organization, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
